Payment of honorarium for conducting PET in connection with recruitment in Group `D’ through RRC.

Sub:  Payment of honorarium for conducting PET in connection with  recruitment in Group `D’ through RRC

Ref.:   Board’s letter No.E(G)/2006/HOI-14 dated 07.02.2014(RBE No.18-A/2014)

All India Railwaymen’s Federation(AIRF) had raised this issue vide letter of even number dated 28.01.2012, and after sustained persuasions, Railway Board have issued orders to this effect vide letter under reference.

While it is appreciated that the rates of Honorarium, to be paid to various categories of employees, entitled for the same, have been circulated by the Railway Board vide their letter supra, but the date of effect, as mentioned in the said letter, would be from the date of issue of these orders, which is quite unjustified as those Railway employees who were involved in conducting these tests before this cut-off date, i.e. 07.02.2014, shall be deprived of this legitimate payment.

It is, therefore, requested that above orders be given retrospective effect to cover all those employees who were involved in conducting PET in connection with recruitment in GP Rs.1800, i.e. erstwhile Group `D’ posts through RRC, in the interest of justice and parity.

Moreover, it is painful to note that, while AIRF had forcefully raised this issue, but no reference of the same has been made in Board’s letter cited above, for which corrective action should also be taken accordingly.

An early action in the matter is solicited.
